Decalogue. Good general practices for carrying out all underwater activities.
Here we inform you of the practices established for safe diving, both in apnea and with autonomous equipment. These practices have been compiled for your review and knowledge, and are intended to increase your comfort and safety in diving. Your acceptance of this statement is required as proof that you are aware of these safe diving practices. If you are a minor, you must provide a form signed by your father, mother or guardian.
I understand that as a diver I should:
Keep myself in good physical and mental shape to dive. Avoid diving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Maintain a good level of diving skills, striving to increase them through continuing education and training in controlled conditions after a period of inactivity in diving.
Be familiar with the usual dive sites. If not, get a formal dive orientation from a reliable local source. If the diving conditions are worse than those under which you normally dive, postpone the dive or find an alternative area with better conditions. Take part only in diving activities consistent with my training and experience. Do not engage in technical diving or cave diving unless specifically trained to do so.
Use a reliable, complete and in good condition equipment with which you are familiar; Whether it is my property or a rental, it is my obligation to check it before each dive to verify its correct operation and condition. Prevent the use of my equipment by non-certified divers. Always have a complete regulator (first stage, two second stages, low pressure hose and pressure gauge), hydrostatic vest to control buoyancy and correct thermal protection whenever you dive. It is my obligation to bring a dive computer, own or rented.
Listen carefully to the instructions and briefings of the dive guides and respect the advice of those who supervise my diving activities. Recognize that additional training is recommended to participate in specialty diving activities, in other geographic areas and after periods of inactivity greater than six months.
Comply with the buddy system on every dive. Plan dives with my partner (including communication techniques to reunite in case of separation, and emergency procedures).
Demonstrate competence in the use of the dive computer. Do all dives without decompression and leave a safety margin. Limit the maximum depth to my level of training and experience. Make the ascent at a speed of no more than 18 meters per minute and complete, on each dive, a safety stop at 5 meters for at least 3 minutes.
Maintain adequate buoyancy. Adjust the ballast at the surface to maintain neutral buoyancy with the BC deflated. Maintain neutral buoyancy underwater. Establish the necessary buoyancy for surface swimming and resting. Have the ballast accessible to be able to get rid of it easily if necessary (last resort to reach the surface in an emergency).
Breathe properly for diving, this is calm and, if possible, long and deep breaths, paying special attention to exhalation. Never hold your breath, whatever the depth. When practicing apnea, avoid hyperventilation. Avoid excessive exertion while in and under the water and dive within my limitations.
Use a boat, buoy or other means of support on the surface whenever possible.
Use the safety elements (deco buoy, reel, surface sound element and cutting element), required by the diving law.
Know and obey local diving rules and regulations.
I have read the statements listed above. I understand the importance and purpose of these practices established by and for my safety and that of my fellow divers. I acknowledge that failure to comply with them may put me in danger during diving activities.
By booking the activity, you declare that you have read, understood and agree with the general conditions, conditions of activities, safe and responsible diving declaration, the cancellation and refund policy of our company (BUCEOVALENCIA SL)
The Dive Guide Diver will assess the weather conditions and the state of the sea before the dive and will not force the dive if the conditions are not entirely adequate.
